Security
Why risk your proprietary data to foreign companies that are held to different judicial systems and oftentimes more lenient IP laws?
Unlike some competitors, we never farm projects to foreign companies. At Eden CAD, all work is performed in the United States and all files are held in a secure environment. Our security strategy employs several safeguards that protect files from a variety of common threats. Additionally, we utilize a file backup and storage policy that minimizes the possibility of data loss.
Security Strategy includes:
-
AES-256 Encryption
Eden CAD protects all client files using 256 bit AES encryption. If a file or computer is stolen, it will take an estimated 560 billion years for the world’s fastest computer to decrypt using brute force. AES-256 protects Top Secret information for several US government agencies. Additionally, the banking industry and military rely on the AES-256 standard.
-
Active Monitoring
In today’s digital workplace, files can be copied in seconds, oftentimes unknown to the computer user. Eden CAD aims to ensure that confidential files remain confidential. Our systems are monitored for file transfers ranging from stealthy backdoors to USB copies in order to preserve security.
-
Offsite Sync
Eden CAD computers synchronize files to Amazon S3. In the event that we damage our equipment in the field or endure a company-wide natural disaster, our offsite synchronization ensures that we can resume work quickly. Transmitting files through S3 is far more secure than email, FTP, or file sending websites (learn more about Amazon S3 security).
-
Local Protection
Eden CAD deploys standard security on every computer including: firewalls, anti-virus, anti-malware, and spyware protection.
